The Corsec management team is comprised of seasoned engineers, experienced technology specialists, and highly skilled professionals. All are purpose-driven, innovative professionals who lead our mission to deliver exemplary validation and certification consulting services for IT security companies.
Matthew Appler – CEO and Co-Founder
Matthew Appler helped companies achieve product validation for more than a decade. Under his leadership, Corsec has become the recognized leader in the validation industry. Matthew is responsible for the operations throughout the organization, with a strong focus on ensuring smooth validation processes for Corsec clients. He has helped to validate many types of products including VPN’s, Firewalls, Smartcards, Database Management Systems, Storage Systems, and Cryptographic Accelerators.
Prior to co-founding Corsec, Matthew worked as a lead software developer with CygnaCom Solutions, Inc. He has also designed and developed secure email systems, token-based purchase order systems, and public key infrastructure client and server components including certificate authorities, ORA workstations, and certificate repositories.
John Morris – President and Co-Founder
As Corsec president, John Morris works with Corsec clients to deliver exceptional consulting and project management service. John is also heading up the Corsec UC APL team and efforts. Before co-founding Corsec, John was a manager of an NVLAP-accredited testing laboratory, where he recognized the need for an impartial third party that could work with the lab and their customers to simplify and streamline the process for everyone involved.
For over a decade, John has worked in cryptography, public key infrastructure, communications, and security engineering.
Amy Nicewick – Chief Operating Officer
Amy Nicewick has over 18 years experience in software development and information security. She leads the Corsec Engineering Team, ensuring projects are appropriately staffed and supported to enable successful evaluations for Corsec’s customers. In addition to managing Corsec’s operations, Amy brings knowledge of the Common Criteria and FIPS standards, as well as strong relationships with many testing labs, gained through years of experience as an engineer and manager for multiple evaluations.
Chandra James – Chief Administrative Officer
Chandra James leads the administrative departments within Corsec. She oversees and is heavily involved in the activities of the marketing, human resources, and finance departments and works closely with the business development management team. Chandra is responsible for Corsec’s marketing strategy and implementation.
Darcy Dinga – Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Lead engineers consult on system security and lead a team of Security Engineers in analyzing products, identifying security issues, and developing documentation evidence for Corsec clients. They manage multiple Common Criteria and FIPS 140-2 evaluation projects, interfacing with clients and laboratory personnel to provide guidance and support throughout the evaluation effort. They also direct the development of Common Criteria and FIPS documentation production, product testing, and design analysis, and are instrumental in developing, maintaining and facilitating training for security engineers.
Business Development Managers and Associates are the first line representation of Corsec to our clients and interact as part of a sales team with the ultimate goal of exceeding all clients’ expectations. Skilled at engaging with Fortune 5000 companies, they are experienced with FIPS, Common Criteria, and UC APL both nationally and internationally.
