Over ten years ago, while working at a FIPS 140 testing laboratory, Corsec’s co-founders, John Morris and Matthew Appler, realized the need for a more efficient validation process.  They came to realize that a third-party, working between the testing laboratory and the vendor, could deliver exactly what was necessary to both the lab and the vendor, thereby making the lab’s work more efficient and also bypassing the vendor’s learning curve.  This idea would allow the vendor to complete product validations quicker than ever. This idea became Corsec.
